David Vitter on Gay Marriage

Gutterboy over at the New Orleans LiveJournal community pointed this gem out:

"I don't believe there's any issue that's more important than this one," said Sen. David Vitter, a Louisiana Republican.

- Senate set to reject gay marriage ban

Oh really, David? I'm sure you could think of something.

This is ridiculous and unbelievable. He deserves to be skewered with that quote for the rest of his term.

I think he is a true Louisiana Hero.

We all know that the Corp of Engineers are all gay. They will be distracted if they get married.

I just discovered your blog and I really like it. I've added a link to mine.

Yes, the junior senator from Louisiana is quite a twit in my book. I emailed him on this issue and his response in part said, "I believe marriage to be a union between one man and one woman. The Marriage Protection Amendment removes the debate regarding the definition of marriage from the hands of the courts and judges and returns this decision to the American people, where I feel it belongs."

No word on what the senator thinks about Brown v. Board of Education.
